We finally came to the conclusion that what we were doing wasn't working...
No one wants to live a life dictated by drugs and alcohol. What we do want is our husbands and wives to know that, no matter what, we’re by their side. We want our friends to know that they can count on us. We want to be honest and trustworthy. We want our kids to look up to us and feel safe at night while they lay in bed. We want to pursue a meaningful and purposeful life. We want freedom.
But, for many of us, none of this is possible when we continue to drink and use drugs. One day we realize that what we’ve been doing isn’t working — we need to change. And, while quitting might sound simple, it certainly isn’t easy. Much of our lives revolved around substance abuse. When we finally decide to knock it off, we often don’t know who we really are or which direction to head from there. We feel lost. We feel alone. We feel defeated.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
The Quit and Conquer community was developed to provide members with a support network, to connect them with others who share in their struggle to remain clean and sober. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to share openly with others, ask for advice, build relationships, and develop skills that are crucial for long-term sobriety. And, by doing so in a supportive environment, you’ll gain the accountability required to keep pushing forward.

I remember feeling lost...adrift
I spent a large portion of my life wasting it all away. After years of recovery, it still somewhat pains me to admit this, but it’s the truth. I wasted time, I wasted energy, and I wasted opportunities. For a while, I was able to drink heavily, use drugs, and still function pretty well. But, eventually I looked around and realized I had been on a downward slope for years. The decline was so slow and so steady that, up until that moment, I hadn’t even realized it.
Right at the point where I was about to lose my job, my relationships, and my home, I had to make a choice. Did I want to continue down this path and throw everything away? Or, did I want to do what I knew would be difficult and totally commit to changing myself. I chose the latter.
I went to rehab, saw the doctors, attended the meetings, etc. I stayed clean and I stayed sober, but I still felt lost. There was one fundamental question I kept asking myself. A question I knew that, If I had the answer, would bring the whole thing together. That question was — what’s next?
This is where Quit and Conquer comes in. I started this project to help people who were in recovery and dealing with substance abuse issues. I don’t want to just help them stay clean; I want to help them build a better life for themselves. A life filled with such purpose and meaning they’re unwilling to throw it away under any circumstance.
It worked for me, and I’m confident it will work for others as well.

No. Our community platform was created for everyone. Whether you are apart of a fellowship and regularly attend meetings, or whether you have chosen to take a different route, you’re welcome here. Our hope is to bring different viewpoints and strategies regarding recovery from substance abuse under one roof to provide a comprehensive and diverse view of recovery.
Do I have to pay extra to attend events within the community?
No! All community events and workshops are included in your membership at no additional charge!
Do I need to have a certain amount of time clean/sober in order to join?
Absolutely not. The only things we wants for members who join us are a total commitment to getting and staying clean/sober and a desire to improve your circumstances.
Are you, yourself, an addict or alcoholic?
Yup. I spent a long time abusing many substances, including alcohol. I know where you’re coming from.
